Established to address the healthcare needs of Sudanese immigrants and refugees, the Sudanese American Physician Association (SAPA) has grown to represent over 700 healthcare professionals, including doctors, nurses, and allied health workers, all committed to improving public health. SAPA is actively organizing medical missions, educational outreach, and providing critical healthcare resources in Sudan and other regions facing health crises. Their initiatives have reached thousands, offering vital medical services to underserved populations, while also advocating for health equity and access to care. 

Through collaborations with humanitarian organizations and local governments, SAPA has played a key role in supporting healthcare infrastructure in Sudan, especially in conflict-affected areas. 

Additionally, their educational programs continue to train and empower future healthcare leaders within the Sudanese-American community.

As of 2024, SAPA continues to make a significant impact on the health and well-being of Sudanese and African communities both in the United States and abroad.
